PIALA GIANT 2010 Wrap-Up

Piala Giant 2010 was righteously owned by Bank Rakyat FC after a heart-throbbing cup final which was held on the 3rd of April. The final showdown with Petra Giant was the climax of the PIFL 2010. 

The previous league encounter was conquered by the Giants. However, Bank Rakyat turned their fate around in the PIFL after that hurting lost. Bank Rakyat FC stood up and ended the PIFL 2010 season by becoming the DOUBLE CHAMPS winning the league and the Piala Giant.

Winning 4-2 in the Piala Giant final, once again, MVP Azhar Mazlan went berserk and contributing a hat-trick for Bank Rakyat. Petra Giant looked helpless in the second half of the match which was held on a rather unfamiliar Padang Perumahan Astana, Petra Jaya.

Therefore, this matchup marks the end of PIFL 2010. This highly anticipated small league of amateur clubs was regarded as the stepping stone of a new breed of local Sarawakian football community. Will we see another season coming???
