This week would be the final week for teams participating the PIFL 2010 to 'armor' their defensive shield and to 'hone' their attack blades..With Matchday 1 or should I say Battleground 1 will be played next week, there will be no more room for error!

The young guns of local football. Most of the players are in their early 20s. Led by playmaker, Azmo, Crobox FC prefers to play from the flanks. Their "Speedy Gonzales" wingers receive the ball from the midfielders to deliver crosses to their finisher. Defensively, this team plays no nonsense football.

It's not like any other day for captain Ogy and his teams. Crobox FC played their usual formation 4-4-2. Yuri's deadly side-foot free kick hit the cross bar early in the first half. Unfortunately, scoring chances were thrown away by Crobox FC strikers few times in the second half. Goals came in late in the first half scored by Hafizi. Then followed Nazrul's goal and then Abang Zikri's goal both in the 2nd half.

However, ball possession was about 50 -50 between the two sides. This game may be a defeat for Crobox FC but their will power to be one of the best teams in Kuching City will not shatter.

With 2 weeks left before the PIFL 2010 schedule starts, the participating teams are preparing themselves to be the best of the best. Friendly matches and futsal sessions are played. Players are getting all hyped up to play their first match of the league hence, grabbing all 3 points for their team. As the league consists of only 8 teams, winning is always the best option.

Crobox FC, again, wants you guys to know that they are going for the PIFL title!...Beating Mutiara FC by a goal difference last weekend...Marvellous attacking play by Azmo and Syamim proves vital for the Mutiara FC team. However, Mutiara FC were able to take advantage from defensive errors made by Crobox FC. Overall, the match was enjoyable.

LHDN FC is balanced with experience,quality and sheer talent. Their unique formation (susah dicarik dlm game PES) should bring headaches to opposing players. Three stronghold defenders, three central whiz and four striking powerhouse. Pure attacking football is what LHDN is all about. LHDN FC should be a team to watch out for.

Here are the fixtures for the matches, time and venues...

League Format:

1. One Legged League (means no home aways lah..)
2. All matches will be played at 4.30 p.m kick-off.
3. Teams must come up at the respective venues 20 minutes earlier.
4. The team which tops the Petra Invitational Football League (PIFL) at the end of Matchday 7 (21st March 2010) is announced as the Champion of PIFL 2010.
5. Top 4 teams will proceed to Piala Giants which will be held on the 27th and 28th March 2010.

Piala Giants

1. Top 4 teams only (at the end of the league).
2. Knockout round robin.
